known as Yoni, had a racquet in his hand since he was three years old
through the inspiration of his Father.
It was when he was 12 when he decided to make
tennis his passion and number one sport.
Soccer was a very close second, and even today
Yoni would be a soccer player if he was not a tennis player.
Soccer is the number one sport in After leaving Yoni, interestingly
enough was on his way to retirement in 2003.
His partner and great friend Andy Ram convinced
him to make an attempt at the 2003 Wimbledon Championships.
They had to qualify to reach there way into the
main draw.
Reach the main draw they did and from there they went
on to the semifinals. Four years later, Jonathan Erlich became a household name in the tennis world and has made his mark as a top 10 doubles player. He is currently ranked 7th in the ATP Doubles Race. Jonathan and his fellow countrymen Andy Ram are looking to climb up the rankings as their most successful part of the year, the summer, is now upon them. |
